Carpooling is always suggested as we are not prepared for nor do we have accommodations for a large volume of vehicles. Park in the provided areas only, and especially in warm weather we caution all visitors not to park in or near dry grass or combustible materials. Also keep in mind that during fall, winter and early spring, the weather in this mountainous region can be very inclement, and driving conditions can be dangerous on the local unpaved roads. Please drive slowly and with caution at all times. We suggest carrying traction devices when traveling to and from the center between the months of October and April, annually.
Guidelines for visitors at Tashi Chöling include no smoking, alcohol or drugs, no pets (except by previous arrangement; seeing eye dogs are an exception to this rule), no use of combustible materials and absolutely no fires. We request that large groups and tours make previous visiting arrangements.
